Beautiful dish or shallow bowl of the first decades of the seventeenth century, made during the late Ming dynasty under the Wanli Emperor, also known as “Kraak” porcelain. Amusing and freely painted decoration of a deer and birds. The underside with a stylised shop or manufacturer’s mark.
Good condition for the age, some small firing imperfections in the glaze and a few chips to the rim and base.
