An unusual Egyptian solid silver spice jar.
The spicecontainer stands on three slender legs with curled feet and retains its original removable lid. Its surface is extensively hand engraved with birds, flowers, foliage and traditional arabesque ornament.
The jar bears numerous Egyptian hallmarks, including the Arabic word “Misr,” meaning Egypt, together with the silver standard “900.”
