​A significant group sculpture in bisque porcelain depicting a pair of gallant shepherds in a pastoral scene, leaning against a tree trunk. A Parisian piece from the second half of the 19th century, bearing the Vion & Baury mark—a green anchor—on the base.
​A piece of remarkably fine sculpture: meticulous details in the folds of the clothing, the ruffles, the faces, and the curly hair. The young woman holds a basket of flowers in her hand, and the young man wears his characteristic hat.
