A superb and rare pair of collectible bronze busts with a brown patina from the 18th century, depicting King Henry IV and Queen Marie de’ Medici.
Henry IV is depicted in antique-style armor adorned with a lion mask and drapery.
Marie de’ Medici is depicted in a draped gown, her face turned away, with an elaborate hairstyle adorned with flowers.
Each bust rests on its original pedestal. Period mounting featuring a hand-forged rod and square nut beneath the pedestal.
Fine chiseling and original patina.
