Important silver-plated metal centerpiece from the famous German manufacturer WMF Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik; in very poor condition, with the silver plating visible in places, sold as-is
iconic of the Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) period, circa 1900
The piece features a high-relief sculpted design depicting cherubs (putti) climbing along myrtle branches and foliage, supporting a dynamically shaped bowl with organic lines.
