Stunning antique Napoleon III Belle Époque 19th-century candlestick measuring 18 cm in height.

A remarkable piece of decorative art attributed to the style and craftsmanship of the prestigious Maison Alphonse Giroux, founded in 1799 by François-Simon-Alphonse Giroux, a renowned Parisian merchant and cabinetmaker who served the royal family.
Very finely chiseled bronze with original gilding, refined champlevé enamel decorations in shades of turquoise, midnight blue, pink, and white, and a ring of Algerian onyx at the base.
Central statuette depicting a cherub (putto) holding a mirror and supporting the enameled bowl.
In very good condition for its age. Gilding and enamels are well preserved.
Height 18 cm, base 8 cm.
