This charming stoneware pitcher is a signature piece by the renowned French ceramicist Gustave Tiffoche, created in the 1970s in his studio in Guérande.

The piece features a very balanced, rounded form, topped by a sturdy, perfectly integrated handle and a delicately pinched neck. It stands out for its remarkable glazing in warm, nuanced tones, ranging from ochre beige to earthy brown, enhanced by the random flecks of pyrite-rich stoneware. The interplay of texture and luster creates a truly beautiful visual and tactile experience.

The piece bears the artist’s cursive signature, “Tiffoche,” hand-engraved beneath the base. It also features three marks left by the firing supports in the kiln, attesting to its artisanal craftsmanship.
