Austrian Orientalist Pyrography, Circa 1900–1920

An elegant, figurative pyrogen made of polychrome cast metal depicting an Oriental musician playing the flute, dressed in traditional attire, standing on a decorative rug next to a log that serves as a match holder.

The particularly expressive polychrome design combines blue, yellow, red, and gold. Of particular note is the refinement of the small pink and red flowers painted at the base of the trunk, accompanied by their green foliage, a delicate detail that contrasts with the more rustic appearance of the cast metal.

The underside bears the number 27.

Austrian production, in the style of the Vienna Bronzes, made of cold-painted cast metal. A particularly decorative Orientalist motif.

Signs of wear and minor chips in the polychrome paint, consistent with its age. In good overall condition and remarkably decorative.
