Edwin Bucher (1879–1968). “two Goats Squabbling,” Bronze Group With A Gold Patina
A bronze cast with a golden patina depicting two goats in a lively confrontation. The group is signed and dated “Bucher 1911” on the pedestal and bears the foundry mark “P. Converset / Fondeur / Paris.” It rests on a rectangular wooden base. Edwin Bucher, a Swiss sculptor based in France, trained in Lucerne, Geneva, and then Paris before working as an assistant in Antoine Bourdelle’s studio. Dimensions: H 30 × W 30 × D 16 cm.
