Art Nouveau Vase In Gilded Bronze, Signed T. Hingre
An elegant Art Nouveau vase in gilded bronze, signed T. Hingre, made around 1900. Its finely chiseled design depicts swallows in flight among irises, in a composition of remarkable naturalism characteristic of the Art Nouveau style. The vase rests on a marble pedestal, while its base is adorned with a stylized tortoise, adding an original touch to the piece.
This work is attributed to the French sculptor Louis Théophile Hingre (1832–1911), whose creations are particularly sought after for the quality of their modeling and their decorative elegance.
