Set Of Nine Silver Teaspoons, Lausanne, 19th Century
A set of nine small silver coffee spoons, of the “uniplat” style, with oval, slightly pointed bowls and spatula-shaped handles. The handles bear the engraved monogram “J.S.F.P.”
The pieces are hallmarked. The master’s hallmark appears to read “F.G.,” and a second hallmark may be that of Lausanne. Subject to confirmation of the hallmarks, the set can be attributed to 19th-century Lausanne silversmithing, possibly to the Gély Brothers.
