A Porcelain Group By Volkstedt Depicting Two Musician Putti
A charming set of polychrome and gilded German porcelain depicting two musician putti seated on a rocky mound. The composition is embellished with foliage, flowers, and small plants modeled in relief.
The set rests on an oval base adorned with an elegant gilded frieze composed of intertwined rings and rosettes. The piece bears a blue underglaze mark on the underside of the base, attributable to the Volkstedt-Rudolstadt factory in Thuringia.
In very good overall condition, with slight signs of wear consistent with the object’s age. The only notable issue is a small chip on one of the figures’ fingers, clearly visible in the photos. No other significant damage is apparent. Height: 19 cm
