Charles Greber (1853–1935), Art Deco Planter Made Of Flamed Stoneware

Artist: Charles Gréber

Slightly flared at the neck, with a tapered base forming a small cuff.
Decorated with stylized cut-out leaves in black and metallic gray on a beige-brown background.
The interior features a beige and brown marbled effect.
A very beautiful interplay of colors and textures in a repeating frieze pattern with variations.
Signed “C. Greber” twice and “France” in intaglio; another illegible intaglio mark.
