A very large, double-sided flat desk featuring marquetry and a havana-brown leather top, with a bronze ingot-patterned veneer border and spandrels in the corners, all lines are accentuated by a brass trim; the entire piece is of very fine cabinetmaking quality, mounted on oak in the Parisian cabinetmaking tradition, as are the finely chiseled and gilded bronze fittings
