Flat desk in amaranth, opening with 3 drawers in front. It rests on 4 chamfered and curved legs.
Very elegant bronze falls and clogs, its morocco top gilded with small iron and framed by a bronze corbin's beak ingot mold connected by 4 gilt and chiseled bronze clips.
Office attributed to Balthazar Lieutaud, received master on March 20, 1749 and died on May 10, 1780.
Note the similarity of our office with that represented P 581 in Le Mobilier Français du XVIIIe siècle by P. KJellberg, Les éditions de l'amateur. P. Kjellberg also indicates that B.
Lieutaud affixed his stamp to a large number of regulators, most of them of very high quality (one of them is also kept at the Chateau de Versailles) but "we know {also} from him, still of luxurious design but in smaller numbers some Louis XV or Louis XVI furniture"
