Walnut And Cherry Desk Table, Louis XV Style – Early 19th Century
This desk table, with a scalloped cherry wood belt, opens with a walnut drawer in applique, slightly molded in a beak of corbin in its perimeter, with a falling iron handle. It rests on four doweled crow's feet also in solid cherry wood. The walnut top, surrounded by a beak of corbin, is composed of three well-joined boards without any composite filling element. Whether used as a table, which can hold up to six people, or as a desk, this item stands out with its clean lines and the light color of its woods. ******** Period: Early 19th century Very good condition.
