Cherrywood Sideboard, Louis XV Style – Mid-19th Century
This superb sideboard made of solid cherry wood, dating from the mid-19th century, stands out for the warmth of its weathered wood and the elegance of its lines, typical of the Louis XV style. It features a harmonious front composed of three drawers, two of which are on the sides and fitted with drop handles, while the small central drawer, complete with its key, adds an extra touch of refinement. The two molded doors, adorned with chiseled keyholes, open to reveal generous storage space. The lock is fully functional. The lower rail, with its dynamic, molded design, accentuates the piece’s graceful silhouette, while the small, curved legs give it a light and delicately curved appearance. The piece as a whole is an authentic and charming sideboard, ideal for enhancing an interior where one wishes to blend prestige, history, and timeless elegance.
