Side Table, Biedermeier, Walnut Veneer, Circa 1840
Biedermeier side table with a swivel bar. The body is walnut-veneered; the tabletop features a four-part mirror veneer. The apron is also veneered, and the legs are made of solid wood and are curved.
The two side panels are connected by a swivel bar with a ribbed center section and scrolls on the sides.
The body contains one drawer with two small drawers inside. A black diamond is inlaid as a lock cover; the lock and key are original. The table has been restored, polished with shellac, and is ready for use.
