A Large Glazed Ceramic Vase, Baluster-shaped With A Generously Rounded Body

An important glazed ceramic vase, baluster-shaped with a generously rounded body, featuring a spectacular bright orange glaze accented by a brown-black relief decoration.

The lower part of the body is punctuated by a succession of large spiral reliefs, forming a continuous, particularly graphic frieze.

This dark decoration contrasts sharply with the orange glaze and gives the piece an aesthetic that is very characteristic of decorative ceramics from the second half of the 20th century.

The tapered neck is framed by two small circular handles.

Molded friezes highlight the base of the neck, the upper rim, and the foot, adding texture and rhythm to the overall design.

The deliberately irregular and textured surface, combined with variations in the glaze, attests to its handcrafted nature and gives each part of the vase a lively appearance.
