A Large Mirror With A Gilded Wooden Frame And Metal Columns.
A beautiful Neoclassical mirror featuring four half-columns with Corinthian capitals, resting on a stepped plinth. The upper section features an arcade that hints at the Neo-Gothic style. The use of gilded metal leaf makes the columns sparkle when light hits them (a rarity). The mirrors feature their original mercury glass and are in perfect condition. A true favorite. France, circa 1830–1840.
