A beautiful and rare carved and gilded wooden sculpture depicting the Virgin Mary holding the Infant Jesus, dating from the late 17th century.
The sculpture is in good condition, still featuring the splendid original gilding in pure gold, which covers the entire surface of the work, except for the faces, which are painted in polychrome.
It exhibits minor imperfections and signs of aging consistent with its era.
The wood is in excellent condition, intact, and has not suffered any damaging pest infestations that compromise the structural integrity of wooden sculptures.

It is intact, with no restoration or repainting.
