Born in Saint-Sauveur in the Yonne department, André Morisset exhibited landscapes at the Salon d’Automne, where he was a member from 1911 to 1923 and again in 1934. He exhibited at the Nationale in 1934 and at the Indépendants in 1930, 1935, and 1937. He also worked in the fresco style.
In a Symbolist style, he depicted subjects such as moonlit scenes, the play of sunlight, studies of trees or pine trees, and the Breton coast.
