After Pierre Bonnard (1867–1947) — Snowy Landscape, Child In A Hood — Mid 20th Century

Color print/lithograph on vellum paper based on Pierre Bonnard’s iconic work depicting an intimate winter landscape. The composition opens onto a snow-covered path lined with walls and trees whose branches are heavy with snow, down the center of which walks a child wrapped in a coat. 

It embodies all the modernity of the Post-Impressionist movement: a tight frame, stylized forms, defined touches of color, and a muted palette enlivened by the vivid accents of a chimney in the background and the child’s legs. This composition is characteristic of Bonnard’s perspective on winter scenes of Parisian streets.

The artist’s signature is stamped on the print in the lower right corner.

The work is mounted in a custom-made museum-quality under glass frame featuring, anti-reflective glass that filters UV rays.
