Large oil on canvas attributed to Franz Werner von Tamm (1658–1724), a German painter who specialized in still lifes and animal scenes and was active primarily in Rome and later in Vienna.
The composition depicts a rooster and a hen surrounded by several guinea pigs and a rabbit , set against a landscape. The naturalistic rendering of the animals and the choice of subjects are characteristic of animal compositions developed around 1700.
