Small Louis XIV-style Walnut Cabinet With 2 Doors And 1 Drawer; Can Be Disassembled.

A very pretty little Louis XIV cabinet made of solid walnut, featuring two hinged doors on the front and a large crosswise drawer at the bottom.
It rests on a base consisting of a frame, two rectangular-section legs at the back, and two ball-foot legs at the front; the entire piece is adorned with broad molding.
The sides consist of three “flat-band” panels.
The piece is topped by a cornice that also forms the cabinet’s ceiling.
Our cabinet was fully restored during the 19th century; it therefore features standard restoration work: an upper and lower crossbar at the back were replaced, and the base, as well as the upper section forming the ceiling and cornice, were also rebuilt.
The body of our cabinet has been modified: the original assembly using dowels has been replaced by an ingenious system of lag screws located inside the cabinet, allowing for quick and easy assembly and disassembly.
