Athens-style Gilded Bronze Lamp With Cloisonné Enamel
19th-century electrified kerosene lamp. Resting on a triangular marble base, a lamp bowl is supported by an “Athenian-style” tripod stand. Clog-shaped legs topped with winged victory figures encircling the lamp bowl. The cylindrical shaft is decorated with floral motifs in cloisonné enamel and is topped by a gilded bronze Corinthian capital supporting a glass reservoir engraved with fleur-de-lis motifs enhanced with fine gold gilding in perfect condition.
This lamp has been electrified (to current standards), and a slightly conical, white cylindrical shade crowns the lamp.
