Jardinière in Limoges porcelain with a wavy, polylobed rim, resting on four small movemented feet, with a rich hand-painted decoration of polychrome flowers (irises and carnations in graduated shades of pink and violet) and rocaille gilding highlights.
Green stamped mark on the reverse “GDA / GDM FRANCE” (Gérard, Dufraisseix & Abbot / Gérard, Dufraisseix & Morel).

Active under this name in the late 19th century in Limoges, the Gérard, Dufraisseix & Morel (later Abbot) manufactory distinguished itself by the high quality of its table and decorative porcelains in the Art Nouveau style. Characterized by its generous forms with movemented contours and the delicacy of its hand-painted floral motifs, this jardinière perfectly illustrates the know-how of the great French porcelain workshops of the turn of the century.
