An elegant pair of finely chased gilded bronze andirons, dating from the 19th century and crafted in the Louis XV style. Each piece is adorned with a charming putto (cupid) holding a bunch of grapes and a cup, symbols of abundance and Bacchus. The figures are set against a rich rocaille design composed of volutes, foliage, and vine tendrils, reflecting the high quality of the craftsmanship.

The chiseling is particularly meticulous, with numerous details on the faces, drapery, bunches of grapes, and plant motifs. The original gilding is well-preserved and features a beautiful, warm patina.

Originally intended to adorn a fireplace, these andirons can now be repurposed as striking decorative pieces. They will look perfect on a console table, a sideboard, a mantelpiece, or in a bookcase, adding a refined and elegant touch to a classic or contemporary interior.
