‘SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A PAT’D OCT. 24. 1899. AUG. 14. 1900. OCT. 8. 1901’ between two heraldic crosses and ‘22 S. & W. CTG’ between two further heraldic crosses on the left-hand side.
Half-moon front sight.
Fluted seven-chamber cylinder.
Closed frame, marked ‘S&W’ on the left-hand side.
Spur-type trigger guard.
Stock numbered ‘1477’ on the underside.
Gutta-percha grips marked ‘S&W’ on the sides.
Single-action operation.
98% nickel-plated finish.
