Impressive Louis XV-era trumeau panel, carved and molded wood, painted in shades of aqua green and accented with beautiful antique gilding. The upper section features an oil-on-canvas painting depicting an Italianate lakeside landscape animated by figures, in the style of Louis-Philippe Crépin. The composition centers on a body of water bordered by trees, a rustic residence with a tower, a rowboat occupied by several figures, and small figures arranged along the shore. The wide-open sky, the bluish distances, and the picturesque architecture place this painting within the tradition of fantasy landscapes inspired by Italy.

The painting is set within a wood paneling frame with an undulating design, adorned with a central shell, foliage, scrollwork, and carved and gilded rocaille motifs. The side panels are punctuated by vertical panels outlined with gilded fillets. The lower section features a large antique mirror set within its molded and gilded frame.
