Beautiful gate or door key, Louis XIV style, France circa 1700, forged from fine wrought iron, with a ring—as some experts describe it: “frog legs”—resting on “goat’s feet” on oval capital with a small boss, 10mm solid shank ending in knob, classic French rectangular bit with a 4-tooth tip, 2 open keyholes, separated by a trilobed or heart-shaped cutout.
