Eugène Empeyta (1840-1889) was a Geneva politician. The majority of his career was spent in municipal politics, although he also served as a member of the Grand Council. He was an administrative councillor eight times, most recently from 1882 to 1886. After that, he remained a simple municipal councillor. He was responsible for the construction of the slaughterhouses at La Jonction, which were later relocated to La Praille. He was one of the initiators of the 1896 Geneva National Exhibition.
