This set of eight rectangular Meissen porcelain plaques, carefully crafted after works by Raphael, is beautifully inlaid in a wooden frame.
The largest plaque, measuring 29.5 cm by 20.5 cm, depicts “The Transfiguration,” while other plaques in the collection include one depicting Mary Magdalene (8.5 cm by 11.5 cm) and six others depicting “The Sistine Madonna,” Saint Sixtus, Saint Barbara, the Nativity, Saint Veronica Holding the Shroud, and The Beautiful Gardener, all measuring 11 cm by 8.5 cm and adorned with the iconic blue crossed swords of the mid- to late-19th century.
The overall dimensions of this magnificent collection are 50 cm by 53 cm.
