Finely hand-carved shell cameo depicting a female profile inspired by Classical Antiquity.
The crisp, well-defined relief highlights the carefully carved locks of hair, the folds of the drapery, and the natural colour contrast between the different layers of the shell. Retaining its original finely hand-engraved gilt metal mount.
