An elegant pitcher from Emperor Napoleon III’s ball service, produced by the Sèvres porcelain manufactory.
It is made of white porcelain accented with fine gold and adorned with the emperor’s cipher beneath the imperial crown.
Green mark: S.58 (for the year 1858).
Red mark: N beneath an imperial crown, 58 – Gilded at Sèvres.
Very good condition. Gilding in perfect condition. An imperceptible hairline crack on the bottom and a slight chip in the enamel near the spout.
