Claude Monod (1944–1990) was a French master glassmaker, son of Éloi Monod, founder of the Verrerie de Biot. Together with his wife, Isabelle Monod, he left his mark on the history of contemporary glass by founding the Atelier de Touron in 1976 in the Nice hinterland, a creative hub that played a key role in the revival of glass workshops across Europe.

Claude Monod explored the material and textural qualities of glass. His pieces, often compared to polished stone urns or sculptures with clean lines, are distinguished by their mineral-like appearance and refinement.
