Reliquary of the True Cross (Lignum Crucis), 18th Century Description:
Reliquary containing a fragment of the True Cross set against a red silk background.
The inscription reads "D.N.", standing for Domini Nostri (Our Lord).
The reverse is preserved with its original armorial red wax seal and its original silk threads. Condition:
Good condition, with minor wear consistent with age. In accordance with Canon Law (Can. 1190 §1), this sale concerns solely the reliquary as a sacred art object.
