19th-century Napoleon III Liqueur Glass
A 19th-century French liqueur cabinet from the Napoleonic III era. Crafted from gilded bronze and brass, with all sides of the cabinet made of cut glass, featuring beveled edges on all four sides of the glass panels. The upper part of the wine cabinet is decorated at the four corners with engraved bronze corner pieces and pilasters featuring stylized foliage motifs. The cabinet is supported by four small, rounded feet, the upper parts of which feature a leaf motif that decorates and frames the four corners. In the center of the front door is a beautiful plaque, fully decorated and engraved, which houses its original lock. The lid opens and lifts up, locking into place thanks to a bronze stopper located on the left side of the wine cabinet. Inside, you’ll find its original set consisting of four decanters and sixteen small crystal glasses, all adorned with lush and elegant floral motifs rendered entirely in pure gold. The entire set is housed in its original basket, made entirely of gilded bronze with a glass base.
