An elegant polychrome Meissen porcelain figurine depicting an Oriental man with a vase of flowers, belonging to the famous historical series “Foreign Peoples” (Fremde Völker). The model was originally designed around 1750 by the renowned master modeler Friedrich Elias Meyer, a collaborator of Johann Joachim Kändler, at the height of the Chinoiserie craze in Europe.
The painted decoration and attention to detail demonstrate the exceptionally high standard of craftsmanship maintained by the master artisans of the German manufactory in the 20th century.
There are no cracks.
