Large Silver-Plated Bronze and Sea-Green Marble Mantel Clock – Louis-Philippe Period, circa 1835–1845

A significant silver-plated bronze mantel clock resting on an imposing base of green sea marble. It depicts an elegant woman draped in the classical style, seated on a curule chair, in a neoclassical style emblematic of the Louis-Philippe period.

The circular dial with Roman numerals is framed by a rich, finely chiseled bronze bezel. The movement is signed “Fabret, Paris” and bears the inscription “Médaille d’honneur 1827,” a mark of high-quality Parisian craftsmanship.

The base is adorned with remarkable bas-reliefs inspired by antiquity, lending the piece a majestic presence. With its substantial dimensions and the quality of its craftsmanship, this clock is a first-rate decorative piece, suitable for both a classical interior and a collection.
