Overall length: 29.3; Barrel length: 15.6 cm

Round barrel with rifled bore; V-shaped front sight and rear sight; marked on the right side with “S.1861” and its serial number 870 above it; on the left side, marked within an oval with “J” for Jouffray and “D” for Dutranoy, along with three manufacturer’s hallmarks.
Nail-head primer, set in a groove on the left side.
Six-chamber cylinder, 12 mm caliber, centerfire, serial number 870, and inspection mark.
Open frame, marked on the left side with an “S” and a “P” inside a “P” within a shield; engraved with an “N.”
Oval cap, with a single screw and a notch for the spring; stamped with the marine anchor. Sling swivel ring on a rotating pin.
Walnut stock plates.

In very good condition, with a 99% intact varnished “war bronze” finish.
All parts are serial-numbered 870 or stamped with an “S.”
