Saxon porcelain bottle, hand-painted on both sides, with its cork stopper and gilded bronze cap. These bottles, which were popular in the 18th and 19th centuries, contained perfume or “sals” to revive a lady who had fainted. This one dates from the 19th century and is marked with a crowned “D,” likely the initial of Dresden, the capital of Saxony. Height: 11 cm.
