"Ah! If only I could get my hands on you...." : An amusing 18th-century engraving by Pierre Beljambe, an engraver in Paris, based on a painting by Henri-Pierre Danloux, commissioned for Monsieur Philippe Guillaume Tavernier de Boullongne de Préninville (1712–1787). The old man is well portrayed, with his finger raised in disapproval. Colored engraving, created in the 1770s; the frame is from the 20th century.
