Ornamental Vase - Porcelain - White/blue - China - 18th Century
Elegant Chinese porcelain vase decorated in underglaze blue, Kangxi period (1662–1722). The decoration, executed with spontaneity and finesse, depicts a lively scene of figures in a traditional garden, accompanied by floral and plant motifs that extend across the entire body of the vase.
The composition is characteristic of early Qing Dynasty porcelain, featuring a lively design, a deep blue with varied shades, and masterful brushwork. The shoulder is adorned with a vegetal frieze, while the reverse features a design of flowers and a butterfly. The base is surrounded by a double blue circle, in keeping with certain pieces from this period.
Note: Lid missing. In good overall condition. A few firing flaws and slight glaze irregularities, inherent to antique pieces. No visible restoration.
