A refined pair of floral still lifes attributed to Laura Bernasconi, known as “Laura dei Fiori” (Rome, 1622–1675), one of the most highly regarded Roman female painters of the 17th century who specialized in botanical and decorative painting. The works depict sumptuous vases brimming with colorful flowers, arranged with great compositional elegance against dark backgrounds imbued with an intense Baroque atmosphere.
