Coin Box, Sicily, 17th Century
A cabinet with six drawers and a centrally located, architecturally designed hinged door that conceals four drawers inside. The drawer fronts and central columns are made of tortoiseshell; the finishes include bronze, brass, and lapis; the central panel is made of gilded bronze and depicts a saint.
