Children's Chair, Early 18th Century
A rare children’s chair from the early 18th century, still in the mid-17th-century style—indeed, the turned legs and details are still archaic—and likely made in the southwest.
Upholstered in an old, well-worn silk fabric, adorned with very pretty copper tacks; it requires a minor restoration to the rear crossbar (this can be addressed by applying a discreet reinforcement on top); the frame remains solid and the seat is still in good condition (with a cushion).
It’s a lovely little chair, quite unusual, perfect for placing, for example, in front of a beautiful Renaissance fireplace next to the armchairs for adults.
