An important Napoleon III-era salon pedestal table with an undulating shape, resting on a spectacular gilded wooden tripod base, richly carved with acanthus leaves, scrollwork, and lion’s paws, demonstrating high-quality craftsmanship inspired by the Louis XV style.

The multi-lobed top is adorned with a remarkable design of beveled mirrors, assembled into a radiating geometric composition centered around an octagonal panel. This elegant mirror marquetry lends the piece a unique refinement and perfectly reflects the decorative tastes of the second half of the 19th century.

The finely molded and gilded scalloped band elegantly highlights the harmonious curves of the tabletop. The central base, powerful and sculptural, consists of three volute-shaped consoles lavishly decorated with acanthus leaves, resting on lion’s paws joined by a crossbar centered with a prominent carved floral motif.
