Set of 4 DSL “La Fonda” Chairs, Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller
Set of four DSL chairs (Dining height, Side chair, La Fonda base), designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This model was created in 1961 at the request of interior designer Alexander Girard for the La Fonda del Sol restaurant in New York, before being added to the Herman Miller catalog.
Fiberglass shell, upholstered in salmon-pink fabric, resting on the fixed “La Fonda” base made of cast aluminum with four legs, specially designed for this series. This base, a distinctive feature of the model, differs from the classic bases of Eames shell chairs.
An iconic piece of 20th-century American design, these chairs fit equally well in both vintage and contemporary interiors.
