Elegant Louis XVI style display cabinet – late 18th century. This charming Louis XVI style bonherie du jour, veneered in light wood, opens with a glass-fronted upper section featuring two glazed doors and two small drawers, as well as a drop-front writing surface (or writing surface) in the central section. The lower section offers additional storage space behind two doors. The piece rests on four fluted, tapered legs, typical of the Louis XVI style, adorned with bronze sabots. The structure features beautiful marquetry in light stringing, highlighting the elegance of its straight and balanced lines. The marble top is surmounted by a finely crafted openwork brass gallery. The interior of the glass-fronted cabinet is lined with red fabric, ideal for displaying small objects or collections.
